In our region heavy rain and large snowfall can be problematic for timely seeding or healthy crops. On our farm, we experienced heavy rains after seedling emergence which cause significant stress on the crops.
We were in desperate need of something that can handle mud. This is what had inspired and demanded a solution. Some quick thinking and some machining we had our first prototype. Interest from the neighbors pushed us to improve the design. With the improved design, you can drive right though standing water with a tracked loader and alleviate them stubborn water pockets. With ruts, old field edges and natural drains that needed fixed, cutting through them saved lots and lots of acres. This fall when conditions were drier we cleaned some of the natural waterways that had been tilled shut over the years. It is very convenient to load skid steer on trailer and maintain all the fields in short order.
